Since gaining a Master of Chiropractic Degree, Laura has continued (which over the years has developed into a passion) expanding her knowledge into how the human body functions and can heal.
This curiosity has helped advance her knowledge in various techniques in order to allow for a larger tool box set of skills, to deliver a wider range of patient care. Laura has advanced training in various outlets, but she is particularly known for her skills in treating pregnancy and pediatric musculoskeletal conditions.
Her methodology is treating every single patient that walks through the clinic doors as an individual and will tailor their treatment specifically to their needs.
This philosophy is to develop a partnership of patient and clinician. She will take time to truly listen to patients in order to understand their individual needs and therefore helping to find the right path of care for the better outcome.
Laura believes in treating all patients that walk through her doors how she would like herself or family members to be treated.
Having worked for several years in Aberdeenshire working within a pregnancy and pediatric research clinic where she gained a vast knowledge and understanding in pregnancy and pediatric conditions, which led her to move to Edinburgh to continue working in this field.
It did not take long for word to get out in the Lothian area that she was one of the go-to Chiropractors for both pregnancy and pediatric conditions. She initially worked with the team at Morningside Chiropractic clinic before the opportunity presented itself to establish Mern Chiropractic. Although she sees a high volume of pregnancy and pediatric patients, she continues to love the variation of treating all conditions and all ages. Variation is the spice of life after all.
Laura has also spent the past 10 years helping to treat golfers with biomechanical issues. Her treatment plans have became so popular that the end result was an independent site dedicated to this specialty: Golf Injury Clinic.
